Music & Movement

This creative program features singing, games, folk dance, movement, yoga, instruments, stories, and music! Each class is designed with a young child’s developmental process in mind. Jill Gleim, who comes to us with 27 years of experience as a lead teacher specializing in music and dance leads our program. Jill is an accomplished Arts Educator, Dancer, Musician and Certified Occupation Therapy Assistant.

Intergenerational Program

Each month the children enjoy a walk to the Ipswich Council on Aging where they visit with our town’s elder community. The children enjoy this intergenerational program almost as much as the seniors, sharing in stories, crafts and snacks. Small World has been part of this program for over 35 years teaching generations the importance of community and fellowship.

Library Visits

Our convenient location allows us to enjoy a monthly visit to the local Library, with our beloved children’s librarian, Laurie Collins. Miss Collins is a master at capturing her audience sharing with them many wonderful stories, her drumming abilities, beautiful felt boards, songs and other fun and interactive activities. These visits help to build positive relationships with our community members, foster a love of Literacy and give the children exposure to the wide variety of other resources offered at the Ipswich Public Library.
