Our Mission

Small World is committed to creating nurturing, child-focused, playful classrooms where children can discover and grow as individuals and as part of a classroom community. We embrace the idea that young children are naturally curious and we honor that by giving them hands-on environments and engaging materials where they can have the time, space and freedom to explore, play and discover. Teachers observe, document and partake in authentic conversation with the children to help build the curriculum and activities based on the interests and abilities of the children we serve. We strongly believe in a pedagogy of care and the critical importance of partnering with families and the building of strong relationships to ensure a positive and successful experience for all involved.

Our program is designed to give students the freedom and confidence to explore and discover through play based and independent learning activities within the structure of a comforting and familiar daily routine.
